Despite these accomplishments, he still struggles to make ends meet, admitting, &#8220;The truth is, I&#8217;m definitely underpaid.&#8221;<br>Hounsou also addressed the issue of racism within Hollywood, recounting how he had been overlooked for an Oscar nomination despite receiving a Golden Globe nomination for the same performance. He mentioned that despite demonstrating his abilities, he was still not seen as a serious actor by the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although progress is being made with diversity initiatives, Hounsou pointed out that much work remains to be done.
